Taylor Swift has recruited BFFs Haim to play at select dates on her new tour.
Swifty announced the exciting news on Instagram, writing “Haim is joining the 1989 Tour. This is not a drill. I repeat Haim is joining the 1989 tour @haimtheband”.
Haim confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: “so excited we get to hop on the 1989 tour with @taylorswift13 and play a few of our favorite cities! gonna be [hot hot hot].”
Taylor later tweeted: “The girls and I got to talking and I’m overjoyed to announce that @haimtheband will be joining The 1989 World Tour!! TOURING W/ SQUAD YESSSS.”
“Meanwhile I’ll be doing a celebratory friendship dance to Forever,” she added, before posting the dates the threesome will support her.
Swift is set to perform at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards on 8 February, where her new tour mates Haim are nominated for Best New Artist. Swifty herself is nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Shake It Off.
After the Grammys, Swifty will play at the BRIT Awards on 25 February before the official start of her 1989 World Tour on 5 May in Tokyo, Japan.
